THE PROBLEM
San Francisco’s Powell Street station is always crowded with people waiting for the cable car. The wait time is around an hour, Waiting in the rain or hot sun makes people bored and annoyed.
This problem is not only for tourists, but locals, as well. The Market and Post intersection is busy, so SF residents avoid passing through that area.
THE SOLUTIONS
1) Provide reservation system via mobile and tablet PC application.
The user can choose the date, time and station, and can purchase tickets.
They can show their tickets via mobile phone or tablet screen when they take the cable car.
2) Place vending machine kiosk near the cable car station.
The visitors can get tickets and make a reservation using the machine.
As with the app, they can choose the date and time they want.

Users have the convenience of choosing their own language.
This function enhances visitors’ experience while visiting San Francisco.
